WCOG Projects

The Whatcom Council of Governments, with approval from its Executive Board, frequently seeks funding for specific projects intended to benefit the greater Whatcom community. Most often, these projects involve partnerships with other entities—

  • rural areas of the County
  • private sector organizations
  • the Port of Bellingham
  • Chambers of Commerce
  • not-for-profit organizations
  • County, State, or Federal government agencies

These projects are generally planning activities intended to coordinate and benefit more than one entity, and to generally benefit this region's citizens by enhancing the quantity, quality and availability of information available for general or technical purposes. For those projects that require construction, WCOG generally relies on project partners for assistance.
