Data

Past (Historical Population Data)

Census data and intercensal annual estimates of the total resident population of selected cities and places. For cities, estimates available for years 1968-1990. For state, county, and nation, estimates available for years 1960-2001.

Note: Because intercensal estimates are based on statistical models, differences arise between these figures and actual population counts. This document contains both intercensal estimates and decennial population counts.

Present(Current Population Data)

Official April 1, 2007 Population Estimates: These total resident population for cities, towns, county, and nation. Estimates are based on the 2000 federal census results or 2000 special censuses conducted by cities. Counts may not match 2000 federal census counts because city boundaries include annexations between the January 1, 2000 (federal census count boundaries) and the April 1, 2000 city boundaries used by the Office of Financial Management.

The figures represent all the persons who usually reside in the area designated. These estimates are cited in numerous statutes using population as criteria for fund allocations, program eligibility, or program operations and as criteria for determining county participation in the Growth Management Act.
